18 YEAR OLD WITH DROP FOOT

(2 discussions)

Our 18 year old son sustained a football injury to his Lateral collateral ligament and ACL (left leg) on September 19, 2011.
He, also, has damage to his Peroneal nerve resulting in drop foot.
The EMG is showing no return of nerve activity and we are concerned as to what our next steps are.
Dr. Daniel Funk, in Cincinnati, has been treating Scotty and we feel very confident with him.
However, we would like to learn more about the treatment of drop foot.
Scotty has been diabetic since age 4, so this is a added complication.
Any information will be appreciated.
