3mo: swollen rt foot, no pain

My right foot has been swollen to various degrees for the past three months. I was running four miles a day when it first started, around the time I got a new pair of running shoes, though I can’t exactly pinpoint when. It was very swollen for the first couple of weeks, then I switched to less impact-intensive activities, and had it wrapped with an ace bandage 24-7. The swelling persisted, though not as severely. For one month I did absolutely nothing, except normal walking around. The swelling pretty much went away. Thinking I was in the clear, I went for a slow 2 mile run, and the swelling returned again. Now I am just lightly riding a bike an hour a day, and the swelling is mostly concentrated around the toes. Should I see a doctor? I don’t have insurance. How much should I expect this to cost me?

To see is to know, not to see is to guess. I recommend you call a podiatrist’s office. Ask what the fees would be for a visit and possibly x-rays.
