5th metatarsel
I broke the 5th metatarsel 2 years ago, it never seemed to feel 100 percent. I also had pain between my toes when running, slight funny feeling.
I have re-broke it twice more – just getting up from a chair and it popping. I’ve had it x-rayed and it is fractured. The doctor has me on a bone stimulator to help growth.
What are your thoughts on this?

I have used bone stimulators on patients and find them useful at times. Some times the insurance company will not cover it and the cost is quite high. Whether or not it would be appropriate in your case depends on the viability and position of the fracture. Some non-unions have potential to heal and others do not. Your doctor should be able to determine if a surgery or bone stimulator is best for you. Good luck
