? ABOUT DECOMPRESSION, OSTEOTOMY, CHEILECTOMY.

I had cheilectomy, osteotomy and decompression for hallux rigidus and a bunionette removal.
I know that a cheilectomy is a joint preservation procedure.
What all does this procedure entail?
I now have a screw in my first metatarsal and a pin in my 5th metatarsal.
I am healing up very nicely and quickly with minimal pain still moderate swelling and bruising as I am 3 weeks post op.
My? is when they perform this procedure do they cut the tendon to the big toe as I can no longer flex my big toe back however I can point my toe with some understandible stiffness.
I notice my tendon showing when I flex my other foot however when I flex my repaired foot my big toe doesn’t move.
It has been very floppy as well.
How am I ever going to be able to stand on my toes again or does this tendon regrow with the toe realigned in the proper position?
Thanx.
