Achillies tendon pain

My achillies tendon hurts and has been for months. The pain is getting worse and causing my heel to hurt all the time & the pain is shooting up my leg and into my knee. But the main pain is my tendon and it has a small bump.
What gives?

You don’t mention if you have already had this looked at. If you haven’t, I recommend you do so pronto. You may have a partial tear and the bump may be the achilles tendon trying to repair itself unsuccessfully.Get it looked at soon. Good luck. Vivian A DPM
