Achillies Tendon Rupture PLEASE RESPOND

I think I ruptured my achillies tendon. The injured area seems to be getting better, and I have little pain. Is this possible with a rupture, I hear it is supposed to hurt real bad.
I am waiting to get an mri, but I went to an orthopedist he said it was ruptured. I can move my foot pretty well now, and I can walk and put weight on it.
I still cannot raise on my toes with that foot. Please Respond and let me know what to expect or what to do.

  1. Get it taken care of. I waited over a month to get it repaired and they had to cut my calf muscle to get it to attach properly. The longer you wait the worse it is. : You may have still partially ruptured it. It is a good sign that you can walk on it and the pain is better. An MRI will show for sure. Keep icing it and doing some light, painfree calf stretches.
