ACL Reconstruction

(3 discussions)

I had surgery about 3 months ago.Everything went fine until now. I have developed a loud popping in my knee everytime it bends fully. It fells like it does when you hit your funny bone. It almost feels like I have been shocked with electricty every time my knee bends. What would you suggest. I think it might be some cartlidge floating around or something like that. Maybe it’s not to serious, Thank’s Tom

Tom, I am sure your doctor would not mind if you gave him a call and told him your symptoms. I have an idea what it might be, but I would need to examine your knee before I could suggest what I think it would be. The best thing you can do is to call, or go see, your doctor for his impression.

I had an ACL reconstruction 10 weeks ago. I did a lot of rehabilitation exercises. Now I’m hardly bending my knee to above 110 grade and still feeling a sharp pain at the back side of my knee. Furhtermore, a popping sound emerged several weeks ago and I hear it anytime when I’ straighten my leg beyond last 10 grade of the knee’s motion. It’s louder before doing any exercises and after exercising the popping is much more quiet and I only feel it. Otherwise my knee is stable while walking, but I’m not sure if I fully extend my leg(at least there is a very little difference from the other leg, which probably is due to the swelling I still have)
I will be glad to hear your opinion about this bothering popping sound I experience.
