ankle sprain
(2 discussions)
I sprained my ankle almost three months ago (X-rayed–no break).
It is still somewhat sore, especially after a lot of walking.
Is this normal, or should I see a doctor?
I don’t know how long one can expect soreness after a sprain.
Thanks.

If you are still having pain, the short answer is yes, you should see a doctor. Further studies, such as an MRI might be indicated to see if there is damage not readily noted on an X-ray. Vivian A DPM

my friend recently sprained the side of his foot by steppin on the edge of a pothole at nite. he wuz on crutches for a few days then got himself a brace. a week after he sprained it, it still hurt like a bitch, but then all of a sudden, 4 days later, he wuz walkin on it and it barely hurt! so sometimes it hurts becuz it’s heelin’. whatever u do, stay off it, let it heal fully.
