ankle swelling and stiffness
My wife suffers with severe ankle pain, stiffness and swelling only in one leg. This comes with walking or playing sports. She walks on the inside of her foot. At one time I found shoe inserts specifically designed to correct this problem and they worked since then I have not been able to locate them and have forgotten the medical term for this condition. Can you please give us suggestions to relieve this problem?

I think the term you might mean is pronation. There are many orthotics in many price ranges, both pre fab and custom made.
I suggest you see a podiatrist for more information.
