Ball of foot pain

(2 discussions)

I have pain in the front of the ball of my left foot like my sock had wadded up between my toes and the ball of my foot. It gets worse while walking or when I kneel down with my toes turned up.

This can sometimes indicate a Morton’s neuroma. You should see a podiatrist for further examination and recommendations.

I heve had pain in the ball of my right foot since Dec. 29th. I have been out of work since that time. I am a nurse and on my feet 8-12 hours a day 3 days a week. My podiatrist has tried padding my foot. I now wear metatarsal pads in my tennis shoes and today he put a walking air cast on. What is your opinion on the next step i.e cortisone, or treatment. It appears to be capsulitis/neuroma.
