Becoming a PT
I am a current undergraduate student and looking to pursue a DPT in the next few years. I have noticed that many schools require a high amount of observation hours and was wondering how I should go about obtaining these and if there is a general structure to it. Should I just call hospitals and private practices? And how far in advance? Thanks for your help!

Just call any clinic, hospital, etc. and ask the PT department if you could get some volunteer hours. They are usually very happy to accomodate volunteers. Try to get hours is a few different types of settings. How far in advance depends on the clinic. Oh, and by the way, if you can get a job at a PT clinic I think you can use those hours for school… I did. Good luck!!
