It started with shoulder pain keeping me awake all night. Then one morning I couldn’t bend my fingers. (this is my left arm). I was given a cortizone shot in my shoulder and for about 2 weeks felt completely cured. Now the pain is very severe in my upper left arm. Keeping me awake the past two nights and my days are miserable. Again in the mornings I can’t seem to bend my fingers. They are better as the day goes on but the upper arm pain is constant. Do you have any ideas?

I am experiencing similar pain. I have been seeing a physiotherapist for pain in my left shoulder, armpit and neck as well as the constant aching of my left rib cage. The pain has lasted for months but of late, my left fingers have become stiff as the shooting pains run down from my armpit to the tips of my fingers. I’m schedualed to see an orthopedic surgeon but should I be seeing the doctor?

I woke up a couple of days ago with pain in my shoulder. I just thought I slept on it wrong. The pain has gotten worse and it is very hard to sleep or even concentrate because of the level of pain. THe worse pain is at the back of my arm near the top of my shoulder. I also have pain that radiates down into my forearm and into my back. The spot on my back is – take your right hnd and reach over your left shoulder, it is right there about as far down as you can touch, which is just over the shoulder. I don’t remember doing anything to injury it, nothing at all.
