bicep tendonitis

hi, i’m an 18 year old collegiate swimmer with bicep tendonitis. I got it by overusing paddles with a poor freestyle technique. the trainers nixed rehab, saying it was too much(I was in alot of pain) my coach says for my stroke which is breaststroke, that I need uper body strentgh. the trainers said strengthening is for out of season. what do I do?

    You would benefit from some moist heat, ultrasound, light massage, gentle stretching and some light weights in specific ranges.Have the trainers show you some sport (swim) specific exercises that should be comfortable enough for your shoulder.

    Hi, I am suffering from bicep tendonitis.Got it from work. Very scared now, but amhappy to find answers from people like Amandaand know its not the end of the world.did not realize how I took my arm for granted.Typing now with one good hand.i’m going to get treated. Thank youcharlene
