I am a 52 year old active woman who has been diagnosed with bicep tendonitis after enduring 6 months of extreme discomfort. I also had a mastectomy with breast reconstruction on that side of my body and often feel muscle soreness where from the implant. In effect, the whole problem seems relatedA sports medicine doctor recommended anti-inflammatories (Indocin, which I had a bad reaction to and Vioxx which does little), a muscle relaxant (Flexoril which puts me to sleep) and pain killers which I can’t use forever!In your exerience what would you recommend as a course of treatment? Are there exercises (stretching, isometric, weights) that I should be doing?
