My husband is having some pain in his big toe.
I don’t think that it is an ingrown toenail because it is in the back corner of the nail.
Can it be some type of infection?
He has not hit or stomped his toe on anything.
It is very difficult to give an opinion without seeing his foot. There are infections that occur around the nail called paronychia. I recommend he visit a podiatrist for an evaluation.
