Bilateral pinky toes are numb

I have been having numbness in the top portion of bilateral pinky toes for about 2-3 weeks now. I can feel pressure on the toes but not light touch or needle prick. The numbness extends all the way around each toe but only about half way down each toe. Closer to the foot the feeling returns. The numbness is constant in nature and is relieved by nothing. Can you give some insight about what step to take next? I haven’t seen an MD yet… Thanks.
