When bone fractures heal, is that area of the bone stronger than before the break or weaker? This is of course after the healing process, including bone remodelling, has completed.
Approximately two weeks ago I fell forward on my knees and broke by left ankle. X-rays showed a clean break and am now in an “air cast.” A few days later, I noticed my left rib cage starting to hurt; even though I didn’t fall on it. Could I have a broken rib or bruised rib as well? I am taking Advil for the pain, and feel no pain either in my foot or rib. I have trouble sleeping at night though. If I did break my rib…how long does it take to heal? Thank you
