Boxer’s fracture

(5 discussions)

I have a boxer’s fracture ( just found out ) and got it by, guess what? Hitting a hard box. I was wondering if insurance covers this type of fracture and if it’s not covered, what kind of accident could cause this type of fracture ( To say I got it that way… ). Thanks

I injured my hand by punching a wall about 20 years ago. Anyway I play guitar, my pick hand is the affected one and I was forced to stop playing yesterday because of wrist pain. I think that now that the bone is bent affects the functioning of my wrist and pinky finger. My wrist feels loose and clicks and cracks and the knuckle has always been a bit painful. Is there anything I can do

hello, I have broken my right hand (boxer’s fracture) about 4 years ago, and I still have pains when I grip my hand into a fist. Is there any way to treat this, or straighten the bone? Maybe even surgery? Thanks
