broekn big toe

I think I broekn my big toe by dropping a bowling ball on my toe a few month ago the doc said it is not broken he toke an x-ray but the toe is still very swollen black and blue and bent how can I tell if it is broken and if it is what to I do for it to heal right. thank you andrew.

Did you go to a podiatrist? We take very specific x-rays and often find x-ray facilities that take off weight beaaring x-rays miss important findings.
