Broken ankle therapy

I just recently found out that my insurance doesn’t cover physical therapy. After 8 weeks in a cast, I’m anxious to get back to work (waiting tables) and to trail running as quickly as possible. Any suggestions on exercises? Also, should I still be elevating my leg?
I do have some swelling still.

  2. I would like to know about websites that provide information on physical therapy for a broken ankle. I broke mine on 09/24/04. My cast was taken off on 11/10/04. I am having a hard time trying to walk on it. I still use my crutches. My doctor didn’t give me a boot, whatever that is. I will take one physical therapy class on 11/13/04. I won’t be able to afford it though. My insurance doesn’t pay for much. If anyone has any info or comments, please let my know. I have an elderly parent, a 14 year old and a 15 month old and I am the primary caregiver for all of them… please help… thanks
