broken fibula
I broke my fibula playing football. when I went to the emergency they gave me a full cast for my leg. they told me I will probibly have it for 6-8 weeks.BUT when I went to the specialist 4 days later he said that the fibula broke right in the middle and that it will heal all by itself.that it wont affect my ancle or my knee. He said that calcium will circle around the break and heal it. So he cut off the cast and said I don’t need one.then he sent me on my way. What do you think

I THINK THE DOCTOR WHO CUT OFF YOU CAST NEEDS TO GO BACK TO MEDICAL SCHOOL. THE THING IS THAT BOTH ENDS MAY BE LINE UP NOW AND WITH OUT ANY TRAUMA TO THAT AREA IT WILL HEAL. THE CAST IS THERE FOR PROTECTING. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN TO NORMAL ACTIVITY ANY SOONER WITH OUT THE CAST SO, WHY NOT LEAVE IT ON TO PROTECT THE BONES FROM BEING MOVED OUT OF ALIGNMENT.LIKE I SAID IT WILL HEAL WITH OUT A CAST BUT BE CAREFUL ABOUT ANY BLOWS TO THE AREA OF THE FIBULA
