broken toe- lost toenail will it grow back?

I dropped a block of ice on my Big toe.
It was very swollen and numb for about two weeks. I never used a splint, and it seemed to heal.
I lost the toenail and all I have is the half moon and no nail.
Is it going to grow back?

Yes, normally it takes 12 months for a toenail to grow from beginning to end. When there has been an injury, it does grow faster. It will also seem to grow in layers. If the root of the nail was damaged, then your new nail might grow oddly. Just wait and see.
