bumps on the side of the foot arount heel

i had a few small bumps at the side of the heel of my foot I have started to walk 3 miles a day and noticed that the larger bump is now bigger and there are a few others that have developed. Also I have pain sometimes when I walk on my heel. any one have this problem and know what they are
