Bunion Surgery

(3 discussions)

I had bunion surgery on both feet 9 weeks ago.
As my feet were healing and I bent my toes I began noticing that my big toes were bending with a twist toward the adjacent toes.
They had never done that before.
Now when I bend my big toes the first knuckle bends up and the toe nail part of the toe turns in.
What could have caused this in surgery?
The bumps have been removed, however, now my toes bend strangely.
I also do not have full range of motion back in my toes.
How can I get that back?Sincerely,G. Peters

I recommend you return to your surgeon and ask this question.

I hope you don’t mind, but I have a question for you. I’m considering the surgery. Do you have any regrets? How awful was it having both feet done at the same time? Do you recommend it? Thanks!

im 13 years old and I have a bunion on each foot. I get them from my dad, who has really bad bunions now, and I don’t want them to get that bad. he is having trouble walking. if I get surgery now, will they grow back. I have size 10.5 feet now. will surgery hurt? should I get it done over the summer, so I’m fully recovered before school starts? I’m afraid it will hurt. if I get it done, I will be eztremely nervous. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!-Brooke
