Burning and pain in top of foot

I’m having burning and pain with tingling up to my ankle.
If I wear snug shoes and use Aleve it is bearable, but it bothers me much more at night when my foot is not supported or if my toes or foot flex down.
Stepping down or pushing up helps it.
Is this a nerve or tendon or brusitis problem?
Can you help?

Burning pain is often associated with nerve problems. I would suggest you get this further evaluated by a podiatrist or neurologist.
