bursitis

I have pain in the posterior of my left ankle which extends till 2 inches to the right and 1 inch towards the left. it all started on the tennis court and I dismissed it as one of the muscular pains till I cudnt walk any further. after a checkup I had a RICE treatment and also consumed cox 2 inhibitor tablets of valdecoxib. the pain returned when I went back for jogging and niggles me every time I jog, play etc etc. also I can’t stand in a place with my weight on leg foot for long. plz advise

    My advice is to have this checked out by a specialist-either a podiatrist or orthopedist, depending on your location. A x-ray and possibly a MRI may be helpful in determining the extent of your injury. I assume that you are not in the United States since Bextra (Valdecoxib) was taken off the market here several months ago. Podiatrists in some countries outside of the US do not do surgery, if necessary.
