(6 discussions)

In July I completly tore my bicep tendon from the elbow a week later I had surgery to repair and the doctor said I would be able to use my arm and start the process of rebuilding my strength. It has been 12 weeks now and after a month of rehab I am unable to pronate or supinate my arm an also have very much pain .the PT says there is nothing more they can do . after an Xray the doc says the two bones in the forarm have fused together. it is very frustrating, is there any one with any advice as the doc said that this is a rare condition but I think its BS .

2nd or 3rd degree MCL tear

I am 3 weeks out from a torn MCL. However, I have not done any ROM exercises until last night. It has been in an immobilizer this whole time. I think that has allowed scar tissue to build up. I can only bend my knee 45 degrees. I tried last night to do ROM exercises to the point of discomfort, but this morning I woke up with more swelling than I previously had. What do I do to gain ROM back, and should there be discomfort and/or swelling when doing these exercises? Like I said, I am concerned because I have started exercising it so late and am afraid of scar tissue build up. Everyone told me to keep it in the immobilizer.

Quad injury??

(2 discussions)

Last week I injured my quad on the outside part of the leg. During a mountain bike race, I went down hard and my outer left quad absorbed most of my body weight as it hit a big rock. I had problems walking, and a week later still limping, pretty bad bruising, and a ‘dent’ with a slight bulge below it in my quad. Still sore to the touch. Did the R.I.C.E. thing as well. Do I need to get medical attention to this? I figured it was just a bad bruise, but read up online about contusion tears so it got my thinking it might me worse than I thought.
