Numbness and pain in left leg and foot (two middle toes)

Doctor, I am a 35 year old female that has had numbness and pain in my left leg and foot for over a month now.
I don’t have health insurance (won’t until next month) but I’m afraid that it may be something serious and my not going to the doctor due to the expense could cause me more trouble.
What could this be from?
Pinched nerve perhaps?
I do have back problems and I’ve had problems near my cervical spine for years.
Please advise.
Oh, I also wake up in the mornings with numbness in my scalp, fingers and arm.

SIde of Foot Pain

I hope you can help!
I have a pain on the side of my left foot.
It’s worse when I wake up in the morning or middle of the night and worse when I’m still for a while (like a long drive).
Once I walk on it a little and get moving, it’s okay.
I’m able to go running for 3 miles with no problem!
Sometimes when I get up, I can’t even walk for a couple minutes.
When I massage it, it feels like it hurts deep down.
There is no swelling or redness and I didn’t do anything to it!
I can’t figure it out.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Is there necessarily bruising/swelling in a broken foot?

Last Friday after my workout, I noticed that there were sharp pains along the outside of my foot whenever I walked. Initially, I figured that it was just a sore muscle, but as it has been four weeks and the pain level is exactly the same as it was on Friday, I’m paranoid that it’s more than just soreness. The pain is there only when I walk, but when I’m on my feet for more than 10 minutes, it gets considerably more painful and I start to limp.
The problem though is that there is no swelling or bruising whatsoever, so I feel kind of dumb going to the doctor since it doesn’t seem all that serious to me. So my question is, do bruising and swelling come hand in hand with a broken bone in the foot? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am a competitive runner and have achilles tendon soreness.
It is not severe but I would like some professional advice, espeically about possibly getting orthodics.
I don’t know who I should see- PT? Podiastrist? Orthapedist? Whats the difference?

Foot Pain

(2 discussions)

Ok, here’s the deal. I cannot put pressure on the inside ball of my right foot without shoes on to cushion it. At home I have to wear slippers. It feels as if I am stepping on something and hurts very badly. And sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and when I get up, I almost fall because it feels as though my foot is broken in about a thousand pieces. The funny thing is, that pain is all on the top of my foot. I have had 3 neuromas removed on that foot and a bunionectomy, so I do have a screw in my big toe/foot joint. So what do you think this sounds like. I have the most awesome podiatrist in the world (and it doesn’t hurt that he’s really hot too!), and will be seeing him on the 18th, but I just thought that I would ask. Thanks!

pain/swelling side of foot

I’m 8 months pregnant and for the last couple of months I’ve had swelling on the inside of my right foot that is painful to touch and at one point even extended up the inside of my leg.
I have shown my Dr. and he said swelling of the feet is normal, however it’s not my entire foot it’s just the inside.
What should I do?

Skater’s Heel

My daughter is a higher level ice skater, learning double and triple jumps.
She has developed what looks like a stone bruise on the back of her heel.
It is painful and has turned a grayish color.
She has purchased a soft insole which seems to be helping but we need a longer term healing.
Is there any medication, foot soaking, etc. that will help to eliminate this condition?
Thank you, Joanie Gable
