central talar OCD

My 8-year-old daughter has been having ankle pain off and on for the past 8 months or so.
It seems worse after sitting and on getting up in the morning to the point where is limps.
She dances – ballet, tap and jazz – and has had some problems doing this.
An x-ray revealed talar osteonecrosis.
She was referred to an orthopedist who ordered an MRI.
He stated that this is called OCD.
However, her lesion is in the central part of the talar dome.
He stated that due to the location, this would not cause her the pain she is having.
He stated she has ankle instability and peroneal weakness and referred her for PT.
She has just started this as well as started dance (OK per orthopedist), but she is having more problems.
She is only 8, and I would hate to do more damage.
Should I get a 2nd opinion??
