chest pain and it moves to my arm

About a week ago I started to have chest pains in the center of my chest.
I used some medicine to help with the pain.
The pain finally went away but came back a day later on my left side of my chest only.
Whenever I cough, sneeze, or try to lay down I get a sharp shooting pain in my chest.
The pain has recently moved down my left arm sometimes the pain can be felt in my fingers. I thought I pulled a muscle and used heat and ice but it has gotten worse.
I think I might have torn a muscle somewhere in my chest.
What are the options in trying to fix a torn muscle? Or do I even have a torn muscle are is it my heart>
