chipped bone
I injured my left foot about seven months ago and was told I pulled some muscles.
I had to return recently because the pain is persistent and I have no strengh in that foot.
The doc. put me in a rehab shoe and said come back in a month. The recent x-rays show several areas of chipped bone in my 2nd martusal that were causing me pain because I have never rested it.
What would be your typical treatment for this? He also said I had extra bones in my 1st martusal that are rubbing on the chipped bone pieces.

I would need to examine your foot and see x-rays to give you an opinion. Hopefully, you saw a podiatrist or orthopedist. Many family docotrs do not know enough about the anatomy of the foot and often mistake sesamoid and other accessory bones for "chip fractures"
