chronic plantar fasciopathy

I have a thickening of the central cord of the plantar fascia. I have no heel pain or pain when first getting out of bed.
My pain is medial ankle and along the arch of my foot to the big toe. I thought this caused the heel pain, but I have none. Is this common to have no pain in the heel. Thanks

Yes, I’ve seen plenty of folks with plantar fascitis that have no heel pain. I have kinesiotaped people with excellent results, along with exercises and stretches. Most times plantar fascitis is caused by a heel spur, thus the cause of heel pain. And at other times it’s just the plantar fascitis by itself, then most times you will have no heel pain.
