crack in skin underneath very bent-under, toe

My toes on my feet are bent forward & sort of under themselves, with the bone being arthritic or having a very big bump in the joint, anyway. On the left foot the toes are worse, because I suffered a bad heel spur on the other foot a few years ago, & limped, walking much more on the left foot before going to the doc, & I widened this poor left foot of mine, and maybe bent the toes worse? ANYWAY…under the middle toe of this left foot I have a crack in the skin, it’s been there for months, doesn’t look inflamed most of the time, but if I use too warm of covers when sleeping at night, the crack in the bend of the toe stings BADLY, like when we first get a paper cut. It has now stung badly when I walked today.
I can see that because my toes have been bent for so long, the skin underneath them seems to have welded itself together under the toe, and the cut is, I think, caused by when I stretch it, maybe standing firmer on it.Please, any advice is so very appreciated.

I think from your description that this will not go away on it’s own. I recommend you see a podiatrist for an evaluation.
