Cracked Heel Bone

I was told by my orthopoedist that I have a cracked heel bone.
I was in PT for 8 weeks becasue we thought it was peroneal tendonitis, but when the condition did not improve (swollen tendone and ligaments) and MRI revealed the cracked heel.
What is the treatment for this?
It is always swollen and painful.

Depending on the extent of the fracture the treatment might be a cast ot cast boot, non-weight bearing with crutches or even surgery. If a non-union develops then a bone stimulator might be indicated down the line.
