If you are that worried about it, then you are suffering from Hypochondriasis. And most doctors would agree. Also see Cyberchondria. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberchondriahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypochondria

When I was 21, I was punched by a man directly over my xiphoid process & lost my breath. The area has hurt just to run a finger over the skin for years or longer. I’m wondering if it could’ve been affecting my breathing the last few years. It has become very painful, along with feeling much worse when I eat much at all.

my husband broke his xiphoid process, what is the treatment for this if any, and how long dose it take to heal, and are there any dangers involved in having a broken xiphoid?
