Dent in my quad muscle

(4 discussions)

About a month ago, after a long run, I found a dent in my upper right quad.
It did not, and does not now, hurt at all.
I have kept on working out, and it has gotten a bit deeper and longer. I have had two doctors tell me that it might be a muscle tear, one Doctor say that it is just apart of my quad make-up (quack), and one personal trainer tell me that he has no idea. Any thoughts? Have you seen this before? A painless, visable, dent in the quad?

I saw an orthopedic dr last for possible ruptured quad on left leg. The Physicians assistant has ordered an MRI of the Knee and the thigh to rule this out. The thing that mostly alarmed the P.A. was the dent just above the kneee the the possibility of a tear. Go see your doctor…

I have a dent from a horrible walking accident. I was walking briskly and knocked over a wrought iron chair and then took out the table before I got stopped. That was a year ago. Now I noticed an awful dent on my thigh where the center of the massive bruise was a year ago. A few times my knee will give out on me other than that I have had no other pain. Should I be concerned?

I helped my parents move over the weekend and noticed a couple of days later that I had a dent in my lower left quad, just above the knee. I have made an appointment with an orthopedic doctor. I was wondering if yours had ever disappeared or if the doctor was able to tell you what it was.
