dislocated shoulder

(2 discussions)

I dislocated my shoulder in an accident a few months ago. I have a problem while in freefall skydiving. the upward pressure of the wind forces my left arm (the previously injured one) back painfully and oftentimes initiates a slight dislocation. I am looking for a compression device of some sort to stop this, as it is starting to hurt during my daily life from this centralized pain during skydiving. Would getting a shoulder compression strap be a good idea? Or what? Email me if at all possible if you know anything about this, or know who I can talk to.

Do you necessarily need both arms out to your side while skydiving? I’ve seen shoulder slings that actually brace the arm into the body with velcro and it holds pretty secure. If you don’t need both arms this would be a good way to go. If you do need both arms not sure what you could do.
