do I move on

(2 discussions)

I’ve had 5 sclerosing injections…..after the initial injection….
I have zero symptoms…once the anesthetic wears off…
I have the crumpled sock…burning feeling again. I don’t have the zaps anymore, but do I bite the bullet and get the neurectomy?

The decision is entirely up to you. I assume you realize that this is elective surgery-something you choose to do. If you are stalled and your symptoms are still present then weigh your options.

My fear is that the “neuromas” are nothing more than my heart wanting them to be the cause. MRI’s are deceptive and if you ask to discover neuromas…anything that looks suspecious could be described as a neuroma. I think 3mm and 5mm are probably not very big, and the sclerosing is probably just exacerbating the neuropathy. It is so demoralizing when you can’t get an exact diagnosis. I’m told to pick a horse and ride it. Not very encouraging. It is very upsetting when you get two different diagnosis’s and you have to pick!
