don’t know what to do

After all the tests and seeing the neurologist and the podiatrists, I have been diagonosed with PN with no tests confirming it other that the pin prick. MY punch biopsy came back normal, and my pain is only localized midfoot on both feet. MRI comes back with swelling in bursa in both feet and a 5mm neuroma between 2nd and 3rd metatarsal joint on right foot and 3mm between 2nd and 3rd on left foot. Moderate swelling of bursa between 3rd and 4 metatarsal left foot. Had cortisone injection. No relief. Podiatrist is 95% sure it is Morton’s Neuroma. She felt the click in both feet. But, I understand that normal feet can have that muldur click. I’m afraid to have surgery if she is wrong.

Your doctor seems to have done a thorough evaluation of your problem. It is true that there are no guarantees in ANY treatment- on any part of the body for that matter. I can not address why you are having misgivings, but since you are, why don’t you get a second opinion locally?
