I have MS & have drop foot, besides an ALS is there anything else out there to use so I can walk without tripping? I am trying to loose weight & I am very limited on the exercise I can do. I want to be able to walk n a treadmill but because of the tripping I cannot. Thanks

  1. What is an ALS?? I either recommend a slip in AFO (ankle foot orthosis), fits right in your shoe, but can be uncomfortable. Or you can have 2 bilateral metal uprights put right into the sole of your tennis shoe. There are also estim units that work pretty good too, but with your MS it probably is not the right choice for you. Ask your doc or PT if you have one. Good luck,M Scott PT
