elbow

How long will it take my arm to be straight? I fractured my elbow in October and I have 2 screws in it. I went for therapy for three months and the doctor says that I can play sports but my baseball coach thinks I need a straight arm for baseball.

Billy: You do need full and painfree range of motion in your elbow to return to baseball. In your therapy, did the PT do range of motion or joint mobilization to your elbow? This may help get the needed range. Check with your Doctor, the screws may need to come out for full ROM. You must also work the range of motion yourself, daily for the next 4 to 6 weeks and you should notice some improvement.
