elbow pain

My husband fell on his elbow, on our outside icerink this winter and now has terrible pain when using it certain ways.
Sometimes the pain comes just rolling over in bed.
The doctor told him he had tennis elbow and he’s been going to physio.
It’s not helping, I’m just wondering if he has bone chips on his elbow (I’ve been doing research).
