Foot drop question

I was involved in a horse riding accident on March 2, 2004.
I broke my pelvis in two places and now and suffering from foot drop.
It was really bad, but the brace is really helping it alo.
I just would like to know what are the signs that the nerve is healing?
Sometimes I get a burning sensation, or sharp pains in my toes or on the bottom of my foot.
Sometimes at night I get a weird feeling I can’t explain and I just have to crunch my toes.
Is this a sign that it’s healing?
I am just so tired of wearing this brace day and night.
Not that I can put any weight on the leg yet, but it’s hard to get any kind of confortable.

  1. Who put you in the brace? A neurologist? If so then a revisit is in order. Evaluation if the nerve is healing should be consistently checked by the same doctor.
