foot pain

(2 discussions)

I have been experiencing pain on the bony area on the side of my foot (little toe side). Pain has been restricted to just this area for several months, but recently has been radiating outward toward heel and across top of foot.
Pain is only on one foot. What is this and what can I do to help it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (or just tell me what it is).
Thank you!

Without examining your foot and possibly x-rays, it is impossible to answer your question. It would be best if you saw a podiatrist and had this checked out.

Thank you for responding to my question. I have since seen an orthopeadic doctor and he diagnosed me with tendonitis – gave me a boot to sleep in at night to keep my foot flexed, some meds and stretching exercises. If not improved, he will immobilize my foot with a cast or boot. I was so afraid I had a hairline fracture and since I stand on my feet each day that would have been a problem. I appreciate what you do on your website to try and help as much as possible. Thank you!
