Foot Pain

I have been having foot pain and swelling for the last three weeks.
I was diagnosed on the 31st of october as having Phlebitis.
I was given an anti-inflammatory rx called naprosyn and told that if the pain does not get any better in 1 week call back.
I then called back and was told give it another week.
The swelling has gone down but the pain is still there.
The Rx has done nothing for the pain. Symptoms….Pain around the ankle and in the arch of my foot.
Pain is sensitive to the touch.Burning or tightness sensation every now and then on the top of my ankle and calf..
Pain sometimes generated up to my knee with a tightness.Pain when sitting or lying down.
Pain during elevation, pain first thing in the morning when I get out of bed. Sometimes I can actually walk on my left foot without any pain, other times I walk with a limp. Friends of mine work for a vascular surgeon and the did a courtesy Venous Doppler that showed no possible DVT. I don’t know what to do next.
