Foot Pain Chronic

I injured my foot about 3 years ago. Ever since, it swells, the skin is discolored if I walk more than 5 minutes, and there is pain on the top and side of the foot. Podiatrists prescribed Celebrex which didn’t help. The MRI showed no abnormality. I did physical therapy which seemed to help a bit but not much. Does anyone have any thoughts on what this might be?

There are unusual situations that cause a type of nerve damage called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (actually now it is properly referred to as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)You might see a neurologist or pain management specialist for further discussion.
