fractured great toe
Six weeks ago I fractured the great toe on my left foot.
After x-rays again today, my family Dr. told me I will have to see an Orthopedic Dr. because the fracture is not filling in with new bone.
My question- would a Podiatrist be a better option than an Orthopedic Dr?
(The fracture was not a clean break.) Thanks, Pam

The symptoms you describe are suggestive of a nerve problem. This can be a pinched nerve in your back. There are certainly other areas that can be involved. You might see a neurologist or a podiatrist. Good luck.
