General numbness of my foot
(2 discussions)
Several months ago, my doctor injected the bottom of my left foot with several cortizone shots to relieve pain from several plantar lesions(I had recently had surgery to remove a plantar lesion). In a short time, the numbness spread to the top of my foot, the toes, plus formed a “numb band” around my ankle, approx. three inches in vertical height. This condition causes me to walk on “numbness” occasionally fall (I sprained my ankle recently without knowing it until I noticed the swelling) and consistant swelling. Will this condition go away in the future, or do I need treatment such as medication or therapy? I am 67 years of age and am in good health.

Is the answer to my request for info re: my numbness an advertisement for heel “shock absorbers”?
