Growth Plate Fracture in Ankle
My daughter fractured her growth plate (ankle) about 4 weeks ago.
She is currently wearing a boot that goes up to her knee and she is not using her crushes anymore.
Is 6 weeks about normal to have this boot on? Do most growth plate fractures heal with no long lasting problems?

When the growth plate is damaged via fx. there is a possiblity that that bone will no longer grow. The growth plate is the area of a long bone where new bone growth occurs.
