Haglund’s Deformity and Supination

I have been diagnosed with Haglund’s Deformity and have bad supination, I’ve been in phsical therapy for 3 weeks and go back to the dr. next week to be cast for orthotics.
My therapy consist of range of motion, e stems, heat, and a patch with anti inflammatory medicine. My question is will orthotics alone work, because I’m still in pain even after the therapy.

The short answer is maybe- There are many variables to be considered. The shape of the calcaneus, type of shoes, control obtained with the orthotics etc.If the conservative treatment fails, surgery might be discussed.
